Pocket Watch, TIME and Time Flies stamps by Bee Crafty

Hi ... I'm back again

Here's another card I made whilst playing with my stamps from Bee Crafty and this card is based around a DT sample I made for the Time Hochanda show. I loved how it came out so I thought I'd make a slight variation to it

I used the following stamp sets :
Pocket Watch
TIME
Time Flies

Also used:
Inkables Template: Circles
Dinkable Template: Chainlink
Distress Oxides  : Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber
Smokey Grey versafine ink

  • I cut a panel of black card and a slightly smaller panel of white card
  • The Pocket Watch was stamped in Smokey Grey versafine ink off the edge of the left hand side of the card panel
  • Masking off the Pocket Watch,  I inked Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide through the Circles Inkable
  • I repeated this with the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide through the Dinkable Chainlink template
  • Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the various cogs, in the Distress Oxides, in a random manner around the Pocket Watch
  • The mask was then removed
  • I inked up the TIME section of the sentiment only, in the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and stamped it in a graduated pattern down the right hand side
  • This was then adhered to the black card and adhered to card blank with wet glue
  • To complete I inked up the Time Flies section only, of the sentiment and stamped it in the Smokey Grey versafine ink
I hope you like the use of these stamps and please check out the Bee Crafty website for lots more fabulous products

Pocket Watch and BEAUtanicals stamp sets by Bee Crafty

Afternoon  everyone xx

Been having a "play" with some of my gorgeous stamps from Bee Crafty and thought I'd blog this card
I used the following stamp sets :
Pocket Watch
BEAUtanicals Wildflower
BEAUtanicals Ground Elder
Friendship

Also used:
Distress Oxides : Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry
Distress Inks   : Worn Lipstick
Inkables Tempate Brick Wall
Smokey Grey versafine ink

  • To begin I cut two pieces of white card, in decreasing size, slightly smaller than card blank
  • On the smallest mat I inked through the Brick Wall template in the Worn Lipstick Distress ink
  • The Pocket Watch was stamped in Smokey Grey versafine ink in the centre of the card
  • Using the Twisted Citron Distress Oxide, I stamped the Wildflower stamp, randomly across the left side of the page
  • I inked up the Ground Elder stamp in the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide and again stamped it randomly. I also did second generation stamping, ie stamping a second time without reinking the stamp. This adds the effect of light and shade
  • The Friendship part of the sentiment stamp was inked up and stamped in the Smokey Grey versafine ink
  • I then assembled the layers of my card using wet glue
I love the combination of all these stamp sets. I hope you do to.
Thankyou for taking the time to have a look at todays play

To create the background I spritzed  water all over the card then brushed Sour Grape, Blue Diamond and Purple Topaz Mica Powders over the top
The Fancy Flourish was stamped in Versmark and then Mica Powders were brushed over the top. Brush off any excess
The horse was stamped and heat embossed in black then coloured in with Kuretake clean colour pens

White Opal mica was mixed with a little water and then the flourish was randomly painted with a small brush

Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides were pressed onto a glass mat, spritzed with water and then the square of glossy photo paper  (cut to size), was dabbed into the ink. It was dried off in between each layer of ink, until the desired effect was achieved
The Mare was stamped and heat embossed in silver then coloured in with Kuretake clean colour pens
The Birthday Sentiment was stamped in the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide

My Favourite Things

Also used :
Kuretake clean colour pens
Versafine : Black onyx, Smokey Grey
(Photo stamp from my crafty stash )

  • Stamp 3 photo frames in black onyx versafine ink.  You can also stamp squares instead, or die cut squares and mat and layer them
  • Stamp the characters,  in Smokey Grey versafine,  in a separate piece of card
  • Colour in with Kuretake clean colour pens and a water brush and cut out
  • Trim them to fit inside your frames
  • Stamp sentiments in black onyx versafine
A simple but fun way to showcase the characters and, as I've shown, if you don't have a photo frame stamp there are lots of other ways to get a similar effect

Silhouette stamps and dies from Stamps By Me

Hello crafters xx

Hope your all of ok and been having lots of crafty fun

I'm very excited to be sharing the first of my samples for the brand new Silhouette stamps and dies collection from Stamps By Me  coming to c&c next Wednesday

I have to say this whole collection is probably one of my all time favourites. I love flowers/grasses as silhouettes, and to be able to extend my makes with dies is just the best lol

For these samples I have used:
Wildflowers 1,4
Butterfly die
Natural Elements die
Kind Thoughts 2 dies
Leaf 1 die
Butterfly lamination stamp set
Pixie Powders
Lustre Luxe
Gilding Wax
Embossing powder
Versmark
Versafine
Distress Oxides
Distress Inks

Used Wildflower 1,4 stamp sets
The inner die from the Butterfly die set was used to partially cut out this gorgeous butterfly.
Pixie Powders, on a seperate piece of card,  was adhered behind the aperture,  making sure only the body of the Butterfly was adhered to it, so the wings could be lifted
The flowers were stamped in Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick DO and the sentiment stamped in Deep Lagoon versafine

3 leaves were cut out using Leaf 1 die and covered in Pebeo Gilding Waxes
The Butterfly body was cut out, using the Butterfly outline die, from a background made from Pixie Powders.
The detailed die cut was covered in gold Gilding Wax and adhered just along its body to enable the wings to be lifted
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in gold

I made some backgrounds using Pixie powders then cut out 2 bodies using the outline Butterfly die
2 of the detailed Butterfly dies were cut out in white then adhered to the bodies, ensuring wings can be lifted once dry
The third butterfly is the Butterfly lamination stamp. This was stamped on another Pixie Powder background, then cut out
These were adhered to a panel which was matted onto blue card
The flowers were stamped in Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers DO so they peeked out from behind panel, once adhered
Sentiment was stamped in Deep Lagoon versafine

A square of Pixie Powder background was adhered to gold mirri then gold thread was wrapped around it
The Cherish sentiment is from the Kind Thoughts 2 die collection. It was cut out from white card and coloured in with gold Lustre Luxe
The Feathers (or leaves), are from the Natural Elements die set. These were also cut from white card and coloured in with Lustre Luxe's.  The Feathers were tied with some of the gold thread

I hope you have enjoyed looking through today's post and I hope you love these dies and stamps as much as I do.
